      MARVEL COMICS has, it seems, been leading it's readers on a journey of epic proportions over the past few years, with mighty characters taking 'the-big-dirt-nap', mysterious alliances poping up, & saga-inducing storylines taking its readers on quests never before imagined within the scope of what the long-loved 'MARVEL UNIVERSE' had been known as throughout its 55+ YEAR HISTORY with many of its flagships having existed enchanting [...through previous companies...] for over 75 YEARS!!!...

     ....Now, it seems likely those sometimes innocent times of yore, or Marvel-Lore, will no longer be shining down upon 'The House That STAN LEE & JACK KIRBY Built' [...among others...] as a storm of electicity will be shocking the company from storm clouds blacker than anything seen in its pages can relate to....

     ....30+ YEARS AGO, in out of a direction by then Editor-In-Chief Jim Shooter, an idea was hatched to shake up the heroes, adding new dramas, new costumes, and closer continuity for all in a project titled 'MARVEL SUPERHEROES SECRET WARS', its largest undertaking for the publisher at the time...

     ....It was HUGE, making many changes which still are affecting today's 'M.U.'!  So, flash-forward to 2015, where a NEW THREAT EMERGED from a simpler-titled sequel, 'SECRET WARS', which again has shifted the tectonic plates of the place so many have called home, while those ENGAGED-LOYAL-READERS looking in have been put to work trying to solve its thrilling puzzles, & decipher the rich, complex stories interlinked within....

    ....Now, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ITS HISTORY, MARVEL COMICS IS 'STARTING OVER' [LINK #2] with drastically obvious examples of its 'ALL-NEW, ALL-DIFFERENT, ALL #1' tagline, where what you see, is not what you expect, nor what you know....

    .....It IS a FANTASTIC-JUMPING-ON-POINT for those newly converted, through the 'SECRET WARS' hype, the close-to-the-chest examples of the comics best storylines used for its blockbuster movies introducing millions to their heroes, the terrific TV offered-up pathway in, its videogame logged extensive biographical info peeking your curiousity, or just finally achieved the 'now-I'm-ready-to-be-taken-on-a-breathtaking-ride' state of mind needed to dip your toe in....

    .....ANY REASON IS ENOUGH, & worthy of picking up what MARVEL COMICS hasn't offered anyone in half a century, that is A PLACE TO BEGIN [Link #1], where indeed IT IS A START, for everything & everyone, both fiction or not, heroic or not, gender-friendly or not, & TRADITION OR NOT.....

    .....This is not about what it isn't, the same, it is instead about what IT IS, a MASSIVE OPPORTUNITY PROVIDED to be able to look back upon this FRESH BEGINNING as a WELCOMED PLACE TO STAND among THE HISTORY of the medium of sequential arts, from its GOLDEN AGE of Flash Gordon, Prince Valiant, & Superman, to the SILVER AGE which introduced more realism into the mix with BARRY ALLEN, aka THE FLASH, Peter Parker as SPIDER-MAN, & Tony Stark's IRON MAN, to name a few...

    .....From whatever STARTING POINTS [Link #1] lead you to PEEK INSIDE @ THE ARTFORM, to the JOYS OF SHARING WITH FRIENDS the dramas of each episode, & the CHANGING DISCUSSIONS around the watercooler, it takes little sluething to uncover THE TRUTH, which is times have changed, and both fustrating & JOYFULLY we're glad they have!...

      ....No longer can you 'count' on 'comic book storytelling' to be what it once was, as echoed throughout years of LOVING THESE CHARACTERS ALMOST AS MUCH AS THE MEDIUM ITSELF, readers have advanced into creators, and creators into editors caretaking the best & evolving the rest, making it A BETTER PRODUCT, a MORE WORTHY & DEEPER ENTERTAINMENT, & A WEALTHIER INDUSTRY for its indulgers....one grandly PROGRESSIVE & INVITING TO 'MARVEL AT'......pun intended!....

     ....No matter how once feels about a polarizing RE-LAUNCH of the ENTIRETY OF MARVEL COMICS, the industry will benefit, NEW FANS WILL BE BORN, & THE CREATIVITY WILL CONTINUE TO SHINE within this GROWING place where SO MANY ARE ALLOWED TO SHINE, allowed to SHARE, & allowed to FATHER [...& MOTHER...] this EXTRA-SIZED stable of nooks, crannies, & places where READERS & ARTISTS & WRITERS & UNIVERSES OF POSSIBILITY can ALL FEEL JUST AS AT HOME as most of us have felt CUDDLED UP WITH A GREAT BOOK.....

    ....YES, gone may be the days when staples in a story meant it was hindered by the trappings of a fearful watchdog [ see the 'joys' of the COMICS-CODE [Link #3] ] but indeed we now offer to the world everything & more of which any medium provides its users.....IDEAS....libraries of them, books of them, pages of them, & most importantly, panels of them....
