.BATMAN 66, The BAT Comes Back...Old School!

It makes sense....In fact it makes for perfect BAT-Logic!...

Comic stories have grown up lately, as anyone who's sampled their merits recently can attest, with a sophistication and diversity now celebrated and devoured more worldwide than at any time in their 100+ year history...

Here in North America, the birthplace of the medium, the capturing of an imagination on paper has long been highlighted by the inner workings of just one of the multitudes of genres present in it, with a firm and constant fixation upon the hugely exploited, yet brilliantly arranged world of the 'hero', which was just 'super' for most....

For those who can appreciate a lighter-side of comic book history as a foil to today's complexities, as well as a very nearly PERFECT READ FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY....

....Not A JOKE!....

.......Not a Joke!...

..BAT-MANIA Continues In 2013's ALL-AGES 'BATMAN 66' COMIC BOOK on-going monthly Series!!

Exploding on the 'mod'-scene in 1966, the 2-nights-a-week somewhat goofy action-er losely based on the format of old-time 1940/50s weekly movie-house serials showcased so-schlocky-it-fit dialog mixed with unreality at its finest, complete with whimsical gadgets aplenty!....

The fairly-far-from 'Dark' Knight did an overly exhaustive amount of actual 'detective work' in the program, many times involving a state-of-the-artly named 'BAT-Computer' which deduced many a puzzling situation brought forth by an almost endless parade of energetic, famous guest-stars sometimes eager to please their REAL-LIFE kids....

Despite grating on some faithfully-DARK Batman readers [...obviously their concerns of 'The BAT' being tainted long-term held merit...], ABC's all-new 'BATMAN' quickly spawned rabid devout followers [...think comparatively the heights of  'POG' & 'POKEMON' CRAZE-LEVEL...] who tuned-in & paved the way for a BAT-mechandise onslaught not seen again until the early 1990s....

Positively entrancing viewing for most youth through the ages, aliken to 'THE FLINTSTONES', the '60s SPIDER-MAN cartoon, & 'SCOOBY DOO', generations of the milk & cookies crowd have considered it must-see TV!

Whether it was staying up 'late' for its prime-time debuts, rushing home after school to catch it in perfectly-placed time-wise reruns, or indulging in some late-night 'after-clubbing' retro-watching, small-screen 'BATMAN' has tickled many with its handy enjoyable reason to repel both homework & housework for a bit of  'tongue-in-cheek' serial adventure....

Louder than life, the unabashedly distinct personalities gaudily dressed in the show personified the tripy, edgy-for-its- day satire which swept across  North America like a hurricane almost overnight,  leaving forever in its wake hundreds of cliches the comics community [...which bore the brunt of the storm...] would be stuck wading through for decades....lightning had struck!

'Setting turbines to speed' in a mixture of tongue-twisters, middling riddles, visually [..yes, visually! ;o] stunning sound effects, & 'puns with punch' via a course in exageration, the mixture proved a textbook example of an 'enjoyable groan' brought together by a fantastic cast of Adam West as Batman / Bruce Wayne, Burt Ward as Robin / Dick Grayson, & kept at the seat of our pants by the unfortunately unhearlded yet memorable narrator William Dozier's over-dramatic "...Will Our Caped Crusaders Survive....?!?", "Meanwhile...", & the classic sendoff "...Tune In Tomorrow, Same BAT-TIME, Same BAT-CHANNEL!",

'BATMAN 66', the COMIC BOOK embraces new readers in the same way the show stood strong, moving at a frenetic pace it's wildly entertaining, piercingly effective, & instantly a favourite for anyone fond of the original deadpan material...

'BATMAN 66' is as innovative as it is zesty, a creative sandwich of achievement, A landmine of  'easter-eggs' and shoutouts, it explodes as already one of the MOST IMPORTANT POP COMICS of the 21st century!

..
'BATMAN '66' is truly the PERFECT COMIC STORY for those who've never read a comic before & it matters not if they have ever experienced the 'laxative-level-laughs' seen here which were such a huge part of the 'original' material [TV-Show]. .....available now and selling fantastic...

-------Dick: "Awww, heck! What's the use of learning French anyway?"

------Batman: "I know..... Hieroglyphics self-taught are a chore, Robin; but, it is a surefire way to unravel the secrets of the ancient mystics..."
